This program aims to build capabilities to monitor and protect Ras Al Khaimah’s existing marine and coastal areas.
An immediate opportunity towards this objective is to integrate seawater monitoring activities currently being carried out by EPDA, RAK Ports, and Al Marjan Island into a central seawater monitoring regime.
Following the environmental strategy exercise expected to start in 2024, EPDA may develop and implement fit-for-purpose regulations and implement a roadmap to support the marine and coastal ecosystem in Ras Al Khaimah.
