This programme aims to strengthen monitoring and protection of Ras Al Khaimah’s marine and coastal ecosystems. As a first step, the development of a central seawater monitoring system will integrate seawater monitoring activities that are currently carried out by EPDA, RAK Ports, and Al Marjan Island. Following the development of the environmental strategy in 2025, EPDA may introduce region-specific regulations and a comprehensive roadmap to ensure the long-term sustainability of these vital ecosystems.
