This programme aims to build the capacity to monitor and controlgroundwater and surface freshwater pollution in Ras Al Khaimah. As part of the environmental strategy to be developed in 2025, a dedicated freshwater and groundwater strategy will be formulated. It will assess the quality, quantity, and trends of groundwater resources in the emirate, and define the regulatory and management tools needed to ensure their long-term sustainability. Based on these findings, EPDA may implement region-specific regulations to address pollution risks effectively.
